“In what the BBB dubs the “Pretender scheme”, explains the Better Business Bureau, “businesses that have had no previous dealings with Enterprise Corporate web hosting receive an invoice for services that have not been requested, or provided.”
According to an article by Global Edmonton (with video), one business in Calgary did it’s due diligence and researched the company, knowing Enterprise Corporate Webhosting isn’t a company they do business with. They quickly realized it was a scam and reported it to the Better Business Bureau, who happened to already be aware of it, and the fact that over 1000 businesses that have been targeted by the scam.
