Last month, one of the Nerds On Site founders, David Redekop, made a trip out to Lethbridge and during his trip, The Lethbridge Team got a call from a large Lethbridge-based company called Varsteel. David and the team noticed this as a big player went right away, and had a cup of coffee with them.
Here’s a little bit about them from their website: “Varsteel Ltd. strives to provide the most responsive, dependable steel service in Western Canada. As an emerging leader in value added steel products, we are committed to matching steady growth with an individual awareness of customers changing needs.”
They have offices and plants all across Canada, and wanted a quote to update some computers and Network infrastructure.
Josh and Trever sat down and started with a quote that unfortunately got rejected. They revised it to see where they could cut costs and save the company more money. Varsteel was much more impressed with the revised version. They were so impressed, our team was asked to quote for many of their locations in Canada.
James Perih, a Nerd in Winnipeg, did the first install, and everything went very smooth. Varsteel was very impressed by our work and got us in to program ALL of these Mac Minis and servers to roll out to Nerds across Canada for the installs.
