Marc Andreessen is a well known figure in the technology world, having co-founded both Mosaic and Netscape, and now sitting on the boards of Facebook, eBay and HP among others. Perhaps slightly less known in our industry is his wife, Laura Arrillaga-Andresseen.
Laura is the founder and chairman of the Standford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society as well as the found of SV2, the Sillicon Valley Social Venture Fund. Laura has recently released a new book called “Giving 2.0: Transform Your Giving and Our World”, and while I haven’t read the book, I do have it on order and believe it could be a valuable read in trying to find new ways to think about giving.
According to the publisher, the new ideas Laura puts forward in the book are not all about digital solutions and they also can be implemented by us regular non-millionaires!
